Python Programming & Its Importance In Machine Learning

Conversations about artificial intelligence have been bubbling now more than ever. Few people truly understand the scope of this technology, but have been familiar with it through various every day acts that they may otherwise overlook. This is a result of machine learning algorithms providing the backbone and value for a number of applications used by millions every day. The first can be seen through the various map routing applications that people use. Google Maps, for example, utilizes machine learning algorithms to ensure that the roads it prompts you to take will get you to your destination with the least amount of traffic resistance. Though in a different vein, but just as useful, spam filters used by most e-mail service providers rely on machine learning to understand and discover the patterns used by spam and phishing e-mails to ensure they don’t find their way into your inbox. Lastly, though responsible for a lot of the functions found on popular social media applications, machine learning is what drives the content you see and engage with on a daily basis. Every click feeds into the next, with algorithms driving your content feed without you even necessarily realizing it. While a bit cerebral, it’s clear that machine learning and artificial intelligence do provide value to the world.
